Refunds are an important part of managing events, and Rubric makes it easy for you to process them. Here's everything you need to know about refunds on the Rubric portal.

How do I refund a ticket?

  1. Head to the Events page.
  2. Locate your event and click on View Purchases to see a list of all the tickets sold.
  3. Find the ticket you want to refund and click Edit
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Mark as unpaid (if the ticket was free) or Refund Ticket (if the ticket was paid).

The refund will be sent back to the original card of purchase. Please note that it may take up to 10 business days for the refund to appear in the student's bank account.

How can I process bulk refunds?

To process a large number of refunds, email support@hellorubric.com with a list of the ticket IDs you want to refund.

Make sure to send the email from the address associated with your Rubric account, and we'll help you process the refunds.

Where can I see a list of refunded tickets?

  1. Head to the Events page on the Rubric portal.
  2. Locate your event and click on the three dots next to it.
  3. Click on View Refunds to see a list of all the refunded tickets.

Are booking fees refundable?

Booking fees for tickets sold through Rubric are non-refundable.

Can I transfer tickets or process name changes?

You sure can! To transfer a ticket, locate the ticket you want to transfer on the View Purchases page and click Edit. Then add the new name and phone number in the Transfer Ticket section.

Ticket transfers are useful if:

  • An attendee mistyped their phone number and can't access their ticket from their Rubric account.

  • An attendee wants to transfer their ticket to someone else, such as a friend who can attend the event instead of them.

Please note that a ticket transfer wouldn’t imply any payment on Rubric.
